Level : First level (at least a bachelor's degree is required)

Academic year: 2026-27

Description:

The aviation industry is constantly evolving in terms of regulations, technologies, strategies, processes, and protocols. Consequently, there is a growing global demand for experts capable of managing airlines and airports in accordance with modern criteria regarding safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, sustainability, resilience, transparency, and non-discrimination.
This Master’s program aims to address this pressing need in the labor market by equipping participants with the skills and the technical-legal and economic-managerial tools required to optimally manage airlines and airport infrastructure, while responding and adapting to the demands and challenges of a sector subject to constant change.
Particular attention will be paid to the regulatory framework at international, supranational, and national levels examined also in light of European policy documents as well as to sustainable strategies (corporate sustainability) that reduce operational costs while maintaining high safety standards and respecting the environment. Corporate policy will also be examined in depth; such policies must adhere to sector-specific rules and guidelines, ensuring that the company’s various departments or divisions work as a team toward a common goal. Within this context, a dedicated module covers ethics in the sector. This fundamental strategic supervision and coordination role is performed by individuals in management positions.

Goals:

This Master’s program, “Airline and Air Infrastructure Management – Regulation of the Aviation Industry” (2026–27), builds upon the experience gained during the three editions of the preceding, similar program, “Airline  Management – Regulation of the Aviation Industry” (academic years 2022–23, 2023–24, and 2024–25). It aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to competently address the multifaceted and complex issues surrounding the air transport sector specifically regarding airlines and airport management companies from  regulatory, economic, managerial, and technical perspectives.
The success of any company and even more so that of a complex organization such as an airline or an airport  management company is closely linked to the success of its organizational structure. Managers face the delicate task of administering, directing, strategically planning, and managing resources to achieve corporate  objectives, all while ensuring compliance with international, European, and national regulations and adhering to professional ethical standards.

Structure:

The programme is structured into 20 modules covering legal topics (aviation law and litigation, labor and social security law, commercial/corporate/bankruptcy law, insurance law, philosophy of law), economic subjects (transport economics, business economics, organizational management, applied economics, corporate finance, etc.), and technical areas (transport engineering, infrastructure, aerodynamics, safety management, security, flight operations, ground operations, maintenance), among others.
